Greek Australians Take the Stage at Miss Universe Australia 2025
Crown Perth glittered under the spotlight this August as thirty young women from around Australia stepped onto the stage for the Miss Universe Australia 2025 final. The crown may have gone to Queensland’s Lexie Brant, but for the Greek community the night was unforgettable for another reason: three proud Greek Australians brought their heritage, stories, and ambition to the national spotlight.
Among the finalists were Bianca Black, Dana Diamataris, and Nasia Delis. Their journeys remind us that beauty pageants are not just about gowns and glamour. They are platforms for voices, identities, and the kind of purpose that resonates long after the lights go down.
Bianca Black
On Instagram she’s @biancablack, but on stage she was the fiery Greek Australian who landed in the Top 5. Bianca is 28, a model, actress, and co-host of Liv and Let B, the podcast she created with her best friend to laugh through the chaos of their late twenties. From body image to heartbreak, nothing is off limits. Her philosophy is simple: growth, laughter, and the freedom to let things be.
With roots in the Peloponnese, Bianca wears her heritage like a badge of honour. Fierce, passionate, and loyal, she carries that energy into everything she does. Away from the spotlight, she is at the gym, with her dogs, or chasing spontaneous plans. Her dream stretches far beyond her own story. She wants to use her voice to help young women shed self-doubt and build unshakable confidence. At Miss Universe Australia she showed that you do not need a crown to prove that kind of power.
Dana Diamataris
For Dana Diamataris, the stage was another chapter in a life already filled with determination. At 27, Dana is a qualified lawyer with degrees in Criminology and Law. She is now completing her Master of Teaching and wants to stand in front of classrooms to inspire students with the same mix of curiosity and resilience that has carried her this far. Follow her at @dana_dima.
Dana’s story is one of survival. She has spoken openly about her experience with an eating disorder, choosing honesty to break down stigma and remind others they are not alone. Her Greek upbringing, filled with love, food, and passion, gave her a foundation of strength she now pours into her advocacy.
She dreams of becoming a TV presenter, using media as a bridge between culture, travel, and storytelling. On stage at Miss Universe Australia she showed that courage is not about perfection. It is about saying yes to opportunities again and again, even when the path is difficult.
Nasia Delis
Singer, songwriter, actor, model, Nasia Delis balances all these passions with a sense of purpose and joy. At 26 she has already trained as a classical opera singer and released her own pop singles. Yet it is her compassion that stood out most at Miss Universe Australia, where she reached the Top 10. Find her at @nasia.delis.
Nasia has used her platform to champion mental health and support children in need. As an ambassador for Toybox Victoria, she has raised thousands of dollars to help kids facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Her guiding words, “Be yourself and you’ll always prevail,” are more than a motto. They are the way she moves through her career and her advocacy.
On stage Nasia carried herself with poise, but it is her work away from the spotlight that leaves the greatest impression. She is proof that pageants can be more than spectacle. They can be about purpose, kindness, and giving back.
Beyond the Crown
The Miss Universe Australia crown went to Brisbane’s Lexie Brant. For Greek Australians watching around the country, pride belonged just as much to Bianca, Dana, and Nasia. Their stories were stitched with heritage, ambition, and resilience, reminding us why representation matters.
For Bianca, it was about showing young women how to back themselves. For Dana, it was about turning personal struggle into strength and speaking openly about mental health. For Nasia, it was about using talent as a vehicle for compassion and advocacy.
Together, they brought their Greek roots into the national spotlight, not as something to look back on but as a fire that lights the way forward. Miss Universe Australia 2025 became a stage for identity, courage, and cultural pride.
